OMG!!! My new pony is so adorable!!!

I couldn't wait, when this morning the little horse was delivered to our farm!
Her name is Fawn and she is so adorable!
What a big surprise was waiting for Levi in his stable! He was so lonely all these months since December 30th, when his old friend Skip passed away. And over sudden - little blonde lady!!!! She is gorgeous!
It seems like he fell in love with her at first sight! I am so glad they get along well!
He started rolling over the hay and wild flowers...
and then she did the same thing!!!
Then it was time to introduce Murphy. He was trying to protect his property from aliens and started growling, of course!  But it didn't take him long to calm down and admire her! So, here's my herd now!
Except of lazy cat... " I will do it tomorrow..... may be...."

Such a beautiful April day to remember! Levi is definitely much happier now, isn't he!!!

Me too!!!!!!!

Smart smile mini purse/wristlet with key chain

Plush emoji smiles as a simple key chain became very popular lately! I decided to make them more practical and useful.
This mini purse/wristlet is made of yellow plush with embroidered eyes and smile (you can find those designs on Etsy). Or you can also substitute it with any other top made in your favorite technique, like patchwork or quilting, thread painting, fabric painting, felting, beading, sequins, ribbon embroidery, mix media, etc., etc.....
The bottom has zippered closure.
All inside seams are bound.
Mesh pocket has Velcro closure inside.
Wrist strap with swivel hook is pulled through the purse's top.
Great popular gift for kids, friends and family members!

Enjoy and share your project!
You can also buy them in my Etsy store "Quiltessence" or in my Quiltess.com store in Handmade section.

"Home is where sewing machine is parked"

Almost all my active machines and one antic treadle machine are now dressed up with custom made covers with embroidered vintage machine on it. I also added the saying: "Home is where sewing machine is parked"
To make your own, find the pattern and tutorial is on Craftsy .

Thread painting sample is finished

I took this class with Nancy Prince (thread painting) last month at Pigeon Forge, TN.
Decided to try new technique of finishing - facing, no binding, mitered corners.

I was also curious if it's possible to fuse lacing on it. Yes, it's possible! Maybe the color is too dark, or too black... But I am glad I completed it.

Happy sewing!
